Game Thread: #31 New York Islanders at San Jose - 7:30PM

Different year, but same old mentally dysfunctional team.

How in the f..k do you lose to the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders at home...and an Islanders team that has lost 10 games in row? Same ole Sharks and I can already see where this season is going. Maybe a first round playoff win at most or more likely an early exit to the golf course. Ahh the Marleau/Thornton years...just like the movie Groundhog Day...or more like the definition of insanity "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

Anyways, this problem with this bunch seemed to start happening around that St Louis game a few weeks back. Almost blew a 4 goal lead there, then do blow a 2 goal lead in the 3rd against Anaheim but luck out in the SO. Then comes Toronto where they nearly blow a 2 goal lead again, and then do against Carolina and now again against the Islanders.

Slumps happen can't go on 8-10 game winning streaks all season. That being said Nemo should be nailed to the bench for atleast the next 3 and if stalock gets hot ride him till he cools off.

Next thing Havlat seems to be a problem since he's come back the team has had a different feel to it. One of two things need to happen him getting dealt or he has to start producing, and doing the dirty gritty things that are needed to win games pay the price so to speak.

He really looks the part of an outsider

When is Ralphie due back? I gotta think Havnot will be shown the door at that point. We need the Rat's intensity & grit out there.
