Is Wade more valuable to the Giants than Flores ?No Lee. No Chappy.
I would rather see Davis at 1B so we can put Flores and Davis on display for other teams AND for us as we decide which of the two we keep.
He is younger and more defensively flexible. But neither are really game changers, I think. Is Wade more valuable to the Giants than Flores ?
Agreed in general, but both are legit ML players. He is younger and more defensively flexible. But neither are really game changers, I think.
but nobody as good as Adames...yet.We already have a young shortstop plus our back up star Ahmed in spring training. Plus Fitz and Casey.
You want to give up Lucy for 1 year of Adames? How about Bart, JDD and Lucy for Adames?
Adames isn’t worth it. If need be, let Ahmed cover if all of Schmitt, Luciano and Fitzgerald are not ready. However, I think one of those three should start the season on the club and rotate if need be. Why rush up Luciano last year if he wasn’t ready? You want to give up Lucy for 1 year of Adames?
good point. I tend to forget about Fitz, who might be really good.Adames isn’t worth it. If need be, let Ahmed cover if all of Schmitt, Luciano and Fitzgerald are not ready. His prob is his absolute lack of power. He is a pesky player, but with no power at all, MLB pitchers will have their way with him. Worst case scenario, they give up a single. No biggie.Wade Meckler was 2 for 3 yesterday. He has a legitimate tool in his ability to hit. The strikeout rate he experienced should come down and it seems likely that he is better suited for the corners (and always was IMO)...
Love what I am seeing from Matos. Very encouraging. Munguia, while not really a prospect for THIS year, is really putting himself on radars.Top Giants hitters in the Cactus League so far:
Luis Matos: 5-19, 2B, 3 HR, 5 RBI
Nick Ahmed: 5-8, 2 HR, 5 RBI
J.D. Davis: 6-15, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 2 BB
Ismael Munguia: 9-13, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 4 SB
Wade Meckler: 7-19, 3B, 5 RBI, BB, SB
Jung Hoo Lee: 6-13, 2B, HR, 2 BB, SB
