I'd love to know who on the team struck him as unproductive. Hayward is obviously performing below contract but he's a hell of a bench option.
Well.. Hayward has got a good excuse.

Terry Rozier is the only guy that took a clear step back... he was lackluster during the season and terrible in the playoffs.

I think Tatum will be fine in the long-run... he just had limited opportunities this season because the offense focused more around Kyrie.

Did win a title and only lost to a team no one has beaten.

That doesn't mean it was the best fit. Iso ball working for them at times. You could also say Wade and Lebron weren't the best fit but they were so great it didn't matter. It's why Klay, Dray and Steph are so successful, they are a perfect fit for each other. A lot of talent but the absolute perfect fit.

Klay, Dray and Steph lost to Lebron and Kyrie.

Not saying there are not better fits for him than Kyrie. But clearly they can win.

Sure with arguably the best player ever. If Kyrie went to the Bucks and accepted his role as he did with Lebron they'd be better than GS imo or on par. But will he or can he?

If he and KD team up will he play second fiddle again?

He has to for them to be successful on a championship level.

Kyrie is a ball hog.

Someone has to distribute the ball. Used to be the PG, but those are becoming score-first more often than not these days. If Kyrie was playing with someone else that could set up the offense, say from the SF position, he fits better (but not if he's going to shoot 38% at volume).

That's why the C's thought Hayward would be a great fit with Kyrie.

Nonsense, Kyrie hurt his team by taking stupid shots.

Rozier doesn't seem to be happy and it sounds like he wants the big bucks

Can only hope he learned his lesson...but with that guy who knows?

I understand they lost, barely. It took Kyrie and Lebron being at their peak to dethrone them. If you put just about any great player next to Lebron will find a way to win or compete for a championship. Curry or Klay next to Lebron would be a better fit imo. It would be gold.

The Cavs just had a special run, probably the greatest run ever and definitely the greatest comeback in NBA history.
