Lmao, maybe the big 10 mighta been a bit over rated after all.
Agreed. And once again the committee leaves out quality mid majors and puts team with 23 wins low on the seeds, only to see how they were wrong.
Next year, some mid major with 23 or more wins will be left out in favor of a team with 9 or 10 losses from a "top: league.
It seems that if you are in a top conference your losses don't count.

Wisconsin might be able to redeem things for all the Big 10 hate.

They are all like 35 year old men on that old geezer team.

That is the type of team that can surprise with a deep run.

Trice and Ford are 24, the rest are like 22ish

Honestly Illinois was one of the most “meh” one seeds in a while.

Wisky struggling getting shots to stay down. Though Baylor's D has been tough.

Tourney results have zero to do with conference affiliation . One and done tournaments are about matchups, coaching, attrition, luck and a little skill

Well the games themselves, sure. But the expectations for the B1G teams (and B12) were pretty high, after the tough competition during the regular season. Then a #2 loses in R1, a #1 in R2, it's a little surprising.

Ohio St was ill grant you . Loyola beating Illinois not so much. Loyola is a top 10 team in NET and Kenpom . They were basically just criminally under seeded

I thought OSU was overrated all year long.

I'd never heard of Kenpom, but the Illini were still 5th there. CBS has their RPI at 9, Loyola 18. And Illinois won 10 of their last 11 before the tourney, and 5 of the last 6 were against ranked teams (and Rutgers made the tournament). Conference affiliation did seem to matter in the seeding, might be a case you could make.

I gues Wisconsin is never going to get past this 7 point deficit. That’s the closest it ever gets then it goes back up.

Oh for sure it matters to seeding. It's just guess work though. Loyola was realistically more like a 4 or 5 seed type team so while it's still an upset itz not a huge shock either
