Jeff complained about the wind would hold up the ball from being a home run. When asked, Reggie Jackson said he had no problem hitting there. Will never forget that. Jeff just wasn't in the same class as Reggie but he was our best at the time.

Perhaps the board will change their mind re Gallo

Of course LeClerc was a bit shaky re walk isssues early in career but made necessary changes. Hope Gallo work increases bat contact and pays dividends

He had walk issues very, very early in his career, like in his first 60 or 70 innings. His career in still in the early stages.

I have faith in Joey, but I understand the frustration. I think he is going to be fine.

We all want Gallo to succeed but if he does it needs to be soon. The guy has been around a fair amount of time and needs to show improvement in hitting. Mendoza, walks and SO is not what we should expect from any player.

I had asked Frsley about ETAs for some of our pitchers. After a brief editorial here is what he had to say:

"As for ETAs: Winn is probably four years away; three for Ragans as he returns from TJ surgery; 2 1/2 for Phillips and Crouse and maybe one for Palumbo."

Yeah, I think Crouse and Phillips will be ready in 2 years. The rest I pretty much agree with him. Now, some of these guys could make a debut earlier, but as far as being in the rotation to stay, I think he is pretty close with the two slight exceptions I mentioned.

What do you guys think is the reason we continue to lose good posters from the board? Is it because the team has not been winning? Seems the numbers were larger during the WS days. Take a little time and see how many good posters have moved on. In my opinion it has hurt the board. Two of the latest to disappear are Ephland and Donaldson. Hate seeing this.

I think some of them were fair weather fans. And some just don't get involved much in the off season. Hope we get more involvement once the season starts. Hope Ep and Donaldson come back.
