Post your predictions!
Going to wait until July or so before I make my official by-the-quarter prediction, but i’ll say on the surface this looks like a 10 win season. They SHOULD be able to win at least 8 of these games (SF, CIN, BAL, MIA, CLE, ARI, BUF, NYJ) or at least they’ll be favored in those. Which is typically when Tomlin gets into the most trouble lol.
No not that in depth! I split the season up into quarters (first 4 games, 2nd, 3rd & 4th) and give W-L for each “quarter”. @ATL96Steeler & I have been doing it every year.Damn, you're gonna give the scores for each quarter......

that was skip bayless prediction, with ben as the mvp, or a top mvp candidate13-3.
Why? Because every time I think they suck they win a Super Bowl. And right now, I kinda think they suck.
i went with 10-6 as well , without posting the analysis, but i could see 11-5.Sticking with tradition @ATL96Steeler...
1st Quarter:
8:20PM - @ NE (SNF)
1PM - vs. SEA
4:25PM - @ SF
8:15PM - vs. CIN (MNF)
Thoughts: The most unpredictable time for this team are the first 4 weeks. I've seen this team stumble out the gate too many times to feel confident about it. Huge week 1 matchup should have this team motivated, but they'll need some luck if they are going to survive Foxborough with a win. The coaching staff is simply outclassed and it will be very noticeable. Winnable games against SEA & SF, but traveling coast to coast to SF has me worried.
Take: 2-2. Losses to NE & SF here.
2nd Quarter:
1PM - vs. BAL
8:20PM - @ LAC (SNF)
BYE WEEK 7
8:15PM - vs. MIA (MNF)
1PM - vs. IND
Thoughts: Always a tough game, but they should have a pretty easy blueprint by week 5 for BAL. At home they should be able to handle the task. LAC will be tough. Probably the most rounded team in the AFC on paper. A bye week of rest before 2 home games against MIA & IND. IND should be a solid team, but Ben dominates. Should be a fun game though.
Take: 3-1. Optimistic take. If things aren't goin well for PIT, then 1-3 is a very real possibility. Loss to @LAC.
3rd Quarter:
4:25PM - vs. LAR
8:20PM - @ CLE (TNF)
1PM - @ CIN
4:25PM - vs. CLE
Thoughts: Lucky to draw the Rams at home. Should be a barn burner statement game though. If this team is for real then they better win that game. Speaking of "for real", Cleveland will be tough to predict this early. I'll take a split with them just for the sake of being neutral. PIT will want to make a statment during this 3rd quarter of games. 3 straight AFCN matchups. CIN is falling apart at the wheels right now, but they have enough pieces to compete.
Take: 2-2. Loss to LAR & @CLE.
4th Quarter:
4:25PM - @ ARI
1PM - vs. BUF
1PM - @ NYJ
1PM - @ BAL
Thoughts: Road trap games galore. But... Being the 4th quarter of the season this PIT team should be firing on all cylinders. Pray to the Lord that they are sitting in favorable position in the AFC, or this will be one helluva tense quarter.
Take: 3-1. Loss @BAL. Typically predict a split with them no matter what. But color me very apprehensive about this.
Overall: Going with 10-6. Really tough season to predict with how many questions there are. Could see this turning into a 9-7 or 8-8 special since I have very little faith in the coaching staff. 7 games against '18 playoff teams (2 BAL), with lots of trap games mixed in. 3 primetime games will help their chances, or make things miserable lol. MNF against MIA should be scary.
I'm trying not to overthink that NE game and just focus on the coaching aspects. Tomlin has a pretty meager record in weeks 1-4 IIRC. I just don't think the coaching staff will be ready for NE that early in the season.i went with 10-6 as well , without posting the analysis, but i could see 11-5.
could see 8-8 too, but my initial reaction was 11-5 and losing a game i think they should win.
i dunno why i feel like they go into NE and win

We know that Tomlin has the propensity to simply rely on his stars to make plays early on in the year. Then go full "reaction mode" when things go south, which they typically always do.Good point
