This is why I don't like SL games: Nance fractured his hand.

6-8 weeks if surgery is not needed. Roughly 3 months with surgery. Blake Griffin missed 3 months last season with a boxer's fracture. We'll know more later today.

Zubac is showing a lot of potential this summer. Great size and length and he'll certainly get stronger. He moves pretty good and has soft hands. He made a nice play on that little lob in transition last night. He has shown some nice post moves. He has a decent jumper. Of course the blocked and altered shots. I like what I've seen from him so far.

He had an interesting interview the other day. He was talking about how on his international pro teams, he was limited to what he could do by the coaches. He said that he was pretty much limited to setting screens on offense and was never really allowed to show his abilities. However, on his Croatian FIBA U18 and U19 squads, he excelled. From Draft Express:

"Hampered by a foot injury in 2014 that prevented him from seeing minutes and getting his stock off the ground, Zubac emerged from relative obscurity to average 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in the Adriatic and Croatian Leagues for Cibona a year ago, but it wasn't until the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship that he established himself as a real prospect for the NBA.

Coming into last summer with limited international experience under his belt, having only played a bit part at the 2013 FIBA U16 European Championship, and missing the summer of 2014 entirely, Zubac averaged a sensational 17.6 points and 7.9 rebounds over 26.5 minutes per game for Croatia's U19 squad in Greece to finish second among all players in PER and help his team to a silver medal. The young 7'1 center followed that up averaging 15.8 points and 12.9 rebounds per game at the U18 European Championships only a few weeks later, emerging as one of the most promising draft eligible big men outside of the United States."

He has a ways to go, but I think the front office may have hit again on a second round pick.

I am not sure this award is anything that matters other than to the teams who have invested in these players. With Luke and our young core, I'll take my chances as the rebuild continues.

I feel the same way. I like this young nucleus.

They're both locks IMO. The only roster player on the bubble is Young, and I hope that bubble pops soon.

Yeah, they are both making the team. They signed Zubac to a 3-year deal. He'll probably spend some time on the Defenders, but he'll certainly make the 15-man roster. The kid showed some potential in summer league.

From what I've seen he plays like a traditional big man, which is becoming more rarer each year. He looks very promising.

Great hands and body control. Think they really got lucky that he slid to them, and you can see why he didn't want to be a stash player.

He showed nice mid-range touch as well. Supposedly he can stretch that out to the 3-point line. He could be a well-rounded big.

I would LOVE for Kareem to help him out. Or even Big Game James

Yup, nice soft hands. He caught pretty everything thrown his way in summer league including a nice catch and finish on a transition alley-oop.
