Woodland Hills (PA) athlete Jeremiah Jones has committed to West Virginia as an athlete, EerSports has confirmed. Jones picked up an offer over the weekend and was considering a commitment last night, but needed to speak with the coaching staff before things were done. He did so today and became the Mountaineers' second commitment of the 2016 class.

Just got off the phone with @TonyGibsonWVU I am officially committed to the University of West Virginia.

I'm sure he'll learn it is West Virginia University... sometime before he graduates...

That's why he is listed as an athlete and not a scholar. I have not seen this kid play but may go see a game. Our school districts use to play each other in the past; however, we downgraded to AAA while Woody High remained AAAA.

I forgot to add the other commitment for 2016 is Logan Thimons 6'2' 210 lbs LB out of Freeport PA. He is a three star and the 13th rated player in PA. Did not hold many offers so I do not know if he was WVU from the go or WVU is ahead of the game for his services. Had interest from Penn ST.

Looks like WVU is hitting PA hard for this class....have about 6 other offers out to some top talent in PA.

I know PA talent has been down, but for Thimmons to be rated 13 overall in PA I have to think he was WVU from day 1 or we are ahead of everyone else.

I don't think he recruited either of these guys I am sure we will start seeing his name on a few of these recruits.

- 2016 commit Logan Thimons has had a big couple of games to end his regular season. After registering 14 tackles in just over a half of play two weeks ago, he tallied 21 tackles, five for loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in a 39-30 victory.
