I think he freaked out on spice or something eaglesnut. No way that was just weed related.

Wouldn't the report have had that though? It is a weird story.

FWIW, I did a mock on Fanspeak and came up with this. If we don't make any trades, which I think we will, I selected using Matt Miller's ratings:
Rd. 1 : Paxton Lynch. I would like Wentz, but he was already taken.
#3: Spencer Drango,OT (not my fav, but fill s a need).
#3: Sterling Shepard, WR (BPA).
#4: Nick Martin, C (like him a lot, Zack's brother).
#5: Jordan Lucas, CB (PSU)
#5: Randy Whitfield, S (a need pick).
#6: Aziz Shittu, DT (no jokes please)
#7: Tyler Matakevich, LB (doubt he lasts this long)
#8: Glenn Gronkowski, FB (we need one)

I did better using the Draftek ratings, but thought I'd throw this one out you experts (Rey).

When you picked Goff, was Wentz still available? Most have Goff rated higher than Wentz, so I would like either one. After the Combine, we'll know a lot more. I am not familiar with your other selections.

Goff is going to be out of our range.

No, it seemed Wentz had been taken first. I don't expect this to really happen like I said. In reality I think we end up with an OT around that range as best player who fits a need.

I know E-nut. Just a fun exercise. Why don't you try it and see what you do?

I prefer doing them with real people instead of computer simulations. And it's too early for either anyway.

I would take Carson Wentz all day ahead of Goff. I have Wentz as my #1 QB in this draft.

and if we're hitting full throttle draft mode ... here's a kid that will be in a few of my mocks. Perfect imo as our slot WR (let's get Matthews outside please). His name is Jakeem Grant from Texas Tech

Yeah I wonder where he'll end up going. He'd be a great addition to the offense.

So we would be getting our version of those waterbugs like Cooley, Edelman, etc.
Where do you think he'll be drafted Rey? Mid rounds? I'd spend a 4th, or one of our 5ths for him.

I have not seen anything of Wentz other than highlights, but he is pretty damn intriguing. I like how he throws on the run. He's a big boy who can scramble and run read-option type plays. He also has a big arm, you can tell, but sometimes his deep balls seem to have too much air under them. He is dropping them in at the FCS level but that's not going to work in the NFL.

Of course he needs work. All rookies do. Nobody comes into the NFL without a lot of coaching. He has tremendous tools to work with.

I agree. I bet he doesn't make it to our pick. He has prototype tools and appears to be a good kid.

I would love it if Goff got over-analyzed and slipped like Aaron Rodgers and Teddy Bridgewater. But I don't see it. I bet he goes #2 to Cleveland, and then Dallas takes Wentz at 4. The Qb we may be staring at is Paxton Lynch. I am not a fan based on what I have seen, but he too has some intriguing tools to work with, and a coach may fall in love with him.

The problem with taking any one of the 3 top QB's (Wentz, Goff or Lynch) high is that none "imo" are NFL ready. All 3 of these guys are in shotgun read-option at least 90% of the time while throwing tons of bubble screen type passes. It's not their fault, but when they hit the NFL they are green in regards to reading coverage and making good/quick decisions. The NFL window to make throws is very small ... you're guessing at which one of these guys will adjust and which one will fall on their face. The reason I like Wentz is because he looks off throws and changes targets fluidly. He also changes ball speed (touch) very well and can throw a tight spiral despite angles or movement. He's a more agile and faster Big Ben ... it wouldn't shock me if he runs a sub 4.6 at his size.

We could take Wentz and have Sanchez play the role of Doug Pederson, for Doug Pederson... :D

If we get Wentz without giving anything up(besides Bradford), i am willing to drive him to Philly!

Also, OT: any word if Doug will hold TC here, or back to Lehigh?

As will the Cowboys if you believe the rumors.
