Mason Couts and hard to pick a 3rd either Frenchie, Vinny or Read but because the forwards couldn't clear the zone fuckem I'm going with Luke at least he laid the body and played pretty well...plus had a fight.

only caught the first half

1. Couturier - Thought the 3rd line in general looked real solid
2. Mase - Kept 'em in it while they got their feet under them.
3. Bellemare - Similar to the Couturier comment, thought the 4th line was the 2nd best line in the first 30 minutes of the game. Aside from Rinaldo's penalty of course. But, as is usually the case with him, he drew a very similarly stupid penalty a few minutes later, the Flyers just didn't cash in.

You knew that Kelly would do something after Milbury said at the end of the 1st the Bruins should have traded him for anything rather than trading Boychuk.

Ha I hear ya man. Starting your own center city crew?

I'm going with Simmonds, Vinny, and Schultz tonight. Schultz mostly because I expected him to get turn styled over and over again and he actually made some nice defensive plays.

Honorable mention to Schultz for the same reason as Awaz.

Bellemare is the man.

I'm sure this will get roasted, but I actually didn't notice Schenn/MDZ being all that bad in the d zone. They just have to tie up sticks better. Obviously -4 and -5 is pretty atrocious, but the 5th goal Mase should've had, the first one Vinny set a perfect screen in front of Mase, 2 were deflections, and 1 was horrendous coverage (not even sure where schenn was, literally, was he actually on the ice?). So while the numbers are bad, I didn't think they played as poorly as the numbers show on defense. Tying sticks up better is a relatively small adjustment, and one blown coverage.

I'm assuming MDZ led the team in shots last night. Going to check now.

edit: second on the team with 5. Giroux had 7.
