Hauck is a great coach

problem is they have a tough schedule

people look at the MWC and think mid major and automatically think the conference isn't tough, when in all reality it's a really tough conference

but hey, they hung with Wisconsin for a half last year, and Wisconsin is breaking in a new QB and offensive line, maybe UNLV could pull an upset there. They need something to make headlines for themselves, then I can see them growing, I mean how hard would it be to recruit college kids to Vegas?

I will count the 2 byes as wins since they are not losses!!

UNLV is set up nicely the first three weeks

they open with Wisconsin which is tough but they hung with them for a half last year, so maybe with improvements to their team and losses for Wisconsin UNLV will hang with them for three quarters this year.

then beat Washington State, Hawai'i and Southern Utah

unfortunately after the bye they have Nevada who by then will have starters established and they'll be playing good so that's where Unlv's season goes downhill only adding a win over New Mexico.

but two unexpected wins over Colorado State and Hawai'i

but made up for them by losing to Washington State and Southern Utah in embarrassing fashion

this game against New Mexico marks their last chance for a win baring any surprises

3-9 will likely be their final record.
