Denver’s bench being wildly inconsistent was a huge factor in this series, can’t go multiple games with everyone combing for under 10 points and expect to win.

They really didn't need them to score.

They just needed guys to come in and play D and rebound. They had a 20 point lead

Based on his brand new tattoo I foresee Bruce Brown being a Nugget again next year. Do what they did last year and make KCP the 6th man again.
Unlikely KCP will be back…due to cap issues not unlike Brown from last year.

This Jokic era Nuggets teams has never beaten a 50 win team in the playoffs.

They are 5-0 versus seeds lower than 5
They are 1-5 versus seeds higher than 5....one win was a 49 win bubble team

They are a strangely consistent bunch in the usually chaotic NBA playoffs.
They don't get tripped up by bad teams,
They also cannot beat any good teams.

Minnesota couldnt get a board or stop Murray, but they flipped switch

They aren’t good at that right now. When 2/3 of your best bench players are 2nd year players it’s gonna be a struggle. Denver didn’t have a legit bench option this year and it cost them.

Part of that is that Denver went away from Murray in the second half
Sure Minny’s defense contributed to that but I thought that Murray became less aggressive

They beat the Suns last year who were the 4th seed. But your point still stands.

Murray played like hot dog water for like 85% of this series. Hell even the playoffs in general outside of 2 huge shots in the Lakers series he was bad. He’s not the main reason Denver lost tonight but he‘s the most responsible for them losing this series, followed by a subpar bench.

Braun last year as the 7th man behind KCP as the 6th was really good, this year when he had to step up into the 6th man role he just couldn’t keep up.

He has potential he’s just young.
