I do have to say i like the Morin signing. Couldn't just let him walk and the money was cheap enough where we may get some good value if he returns to full strength.

We could really use a guy like Grabner as our penalty kill was atrocious last year.

Unfortunately I attribute that primarily to Lappy and coaching.

29th over the full 4 years he's been in charge. They were 9th in the league over the 4 years prior to him taking over. Couturier, Read, Giroux, and Simmonds were on those teams too.

The fact that Lappy is still employed is easily the most ridiculous thing about this offseason. Maybe even Hexy's entire tenure (yes, even worse that Weise)

I really like Farabee, but was hoping they would take Ty Smith at 14 and the best froward at 19 or trade down. Farabee would not have lasted to 19. From what I read, we got a good pick with Ginning at 50.

Adam Ginning, a 2018 NHL Draft prospect, is a large presence on the ice. At almost 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, the 18-year-old from Linkoping, Sweden, already has good size for a defenseman and is able to hold his own against older competition. Ginning was NHL Central Scouting's third-ranked defenseman among International skaters, only behind fellow Swedish blueliners Rasmus Dahlin and Adam Boqvist, and was the fifth-ranked international skater overall. Ginning has shown himself to be a solid defender at the highest level of Swedish hockey and has the ability to improve his offensive game. As a stay-at-home defenseman, his offensive statistics are not necessarily the best evaluator for his play but his physicality and ability to protect his net made him an expected first-round selection. In his final showing on the way to the draft, Ginning performed well at the NHL Scouting Combine, placing in the top-10 in the aerobic fitness VO2 max test and the fatigue index, which assesses endurance.
