The O line improved against the fresh from FCS South Alabama. Please continue that. Miami will test that since they average 3.5 sacks per game.

PASS DEFENSE has to improve

Nebraska is rated #119 in passing yards allowed. #119

Nebraska will need to apply pressure to Kaaya. Last year, he was under heavy pressure and still played well. 28 for 42, 359 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs.

If he is given time, and no pressure, he is going to kill it.

receivers back
Malcolm Lewis he caught 5 passes last year
Braxton Berrios he caught 4 passes last year
Stacy Coley he caught 3 passes last year

Of course, something has to be done about a cornerback.

In 2015, the player to watch out for is 6' 2" Rashawn Scott.

Miami's got talent, but their coach is worse than pleeny.

Huskers got a chance in a shootout IMO

I was concerned with the new D scheme coming into this year, mainly the part where our corners get put out on an island in man most of the time, turns out to be the kind of island featuring many football bombs being caught.

in retro of the #119 ranking we hold down, the U's are at #5 in pass D

FAU put 20 pts on them. None were garbage pts

FAU also lost to Tulsa 44-47

Could have been missouri I was fortunate
We earned our 119 against one mid major an a high school team, I'd guess some of the 118 teams ahead of us played some real bad teams as well

Nebraska's pass defense is going to be worse. around 122nd in the nation. Nebraska gave up 379 yards to Brad Kaaya.

Rashawn Scott 9 receptions, 151 yards.

Daniel Davie was benched, but there needs to be pressure. Kaaya had nothing but time on his hands, until late in the game, when Miami thought the game was over and they almost lost it. There is absolutely zero penetration from the four man rush.

I thought this defense was supposed to be attack. It is more like ack.

Davie alone has given up 3 big plays at least in each the last 3 games. He's our weak link in the secondary. They got significantly better without him on the field.

As expected, after three games

PASS Defense = 126(only Indiana is worse)
Total Defense = 104

I just looked at Southern Miss. They can run and pass. Now, we truly find out about this Banker defense.

When was the last time Nebraska opened the season 1-3? 1957.

Well Banker's not going anywhere. He's loyally served Riley for years. Banker is a fixture at Nebraska as long as Riley is here.

You really think we could possibly lose to S. Miss? Everytime I start thinking you might have an argument you say something like that. :L

Bankerrrr -- is an average dude
has no idea
can't think outside the box --by the way I hate this saying
Banker is just thar filling the billet

Remember that one time Oregon St. beat USC the week after the Trojans had to play the (10-3) Buckeyes and a week before the Trojans had to play (10-3) Oregon?

9/13 - USC vs Ohio St. W (35-3)
9/25 - USC @ Oregon St L (21-27)
10/4 - USC vs Oregon W (44-10)

To some this is considered "Riley can win big games with lesser talent".

To others it was an typical trap game for a highly ranked team.

Yeah but we were just down by 33 and regardless of the comeback we lost because of a bad play. Not sure what the traps going to catch but not a highly ranked team that's for sure.

We were down 23, but my point is lowly Oregon St was overlooked by Southern Cal. USC had just beaten Ohio St and were looking ahead to Oregon.

Nobody is going to overlook a blue-blood like Nebraska. I wouldn't expect any big wins any time soon under this staff, if ever.
