On a related note, when it comes down to 70's rock bands, I think Aerosmith's music holds up the best in 2016.

I'll have to disagree on this and go w/ Pink Floyd,+/or the Stones here.

(yes, I know they both started out before the 70's, but their body of work during the 70's is fucking timeless imho)

I don't think the average person around 30 years old is going to enjoy Pink Floyd songs. The Stones would be better, but I think Aerosmith is way more listenable and appealing in 2016. Most of the Stones' songs seem to have the same formula. It's all raw, wailing guitar and yelling half the lyrics.
