Waddle and Lucas both have way too slow of feet to ever be anything more than emergency human turnstile's at RT with better DE's coming at em... Watch how both of them have their hands at bottom of Ribcage when they're already 3-steps into movement... both lack an aggressive hand punch to knock defenders back... JMO solely

the OL played better but those two still suck ass... saw better mechanics from Swanny and Tomlinson today but the penalties..... uuugghhhhhh

I pretty much have gave up on them. Lucas is not a LT at this level either for same reasons. At least not in a zone scheme for sure. I'm buying into moving Reiff to RT possibly. That's if the new coach is still a zone guy. Power scheme I feel he will still suffice as LT. As it will also be huge move for the interior also. Those three would be maulers just being hat on hat blockers.

I'm just hoping Cory Robinson can develop into a swing tackle backup.

Tulloch is useless on defense. Really need to bring in more LBs. Van Noy is still nowhere to be found. I wish we could move Bynes to MLB. That's where he belongs IMO. Whithead is OK too. Lewis can only defend the run. Really weak unit IMO. And now with Levy up in the air, well it needs to be addressed.

Reiff's foot speed is quicker than Waddle or Lucas but even if a power man scheme comes back with next coaching staff, there will be one, he still belongs at RT...... at best.... He just doesn't have the speed in his feet that is so important for the LT spot to stave off speed rushers. Damn he might have been a really good LG or possibly ALL-Pro/Pro Bowl caliber RG.... the latter is what I thought when he originally came out of college...

I'm not saying you're wrong with your analysis but the most important attribute a LT/RT needs, outside of technique, is to have quick feet 1st.... the quick hands are just as necessary and should follow in conjunction or there's a problem....

Blue, I never get upset at your assessments of me. We talked all winter about kids coming out. Changing each other's outlooks constantly.

Every time I mention Reiff as LT is along the lines if there is a replacement, great draft him. Not there, he is not the worst LT in league and will suffice until he is replaced. I've read moving Lucas to LT and Reiff to to RT. I cringe when I read that. He had a decent game against a washed up vet and gave false hope IMO. The more I watch him, the more I want to see Robinson.

The Lions have much more experience in that department as a whole, imo, but I understand where you're at.

BearD, you've got a very good coach who'll right that ship quickly, imo. He just needs to tweak your team his way.
