So cutting Barbre also saves a million in cap space.
Eagles to cut Todd Herremans | ProFootballTalk
Another of a few more cuts to come I'm guessing. More $ to add to our FA needs.
There is a thread already for the Eagles cuts.
Anyone know how much he saves us?
I'm thinking he will be on this list soon.I wonder if they will cut Demeco Ryans. This will start adding up to some real money soon.
His age is up there and I thought he had a pretty bad injury during the season? Regardless, it's tough to see him go. We need to get younger on the OL. I'm sure Chip has his target set for his replacement.I am wondering if they are targeting a Guard in Free Agency? No sense in cutting Herremans before the draft unless you know for a fact you have his replacement lined up. $2.8M is not terribly out of line for a veteran guard, and if they were planning on drafting one, they may prefer to keep the vet around.

The other alternative is they may feel comfortable with Gardner/Tobin/Barbre as a replacement? At least as good at a lower price?
I'd be ok with Franklin, much cheaper than Iupati will be. Either one would be great to have to replace Herremans.Mike Iupati plz.
That's what I was thinking. Either could be in play at 20 or a short move down like last year.
Was Stoutland at Alabama before or after UM?Franklin gets very high grades on PFF, Denver can't afford him, and he played for Stoutland for 4 years at UM. It seems like a perfect match and the sort of thing where everyone knows each other so well, they probably have already talked and worked it all out unofficially.

I am thinking just the opposite. If you are thinking draft, you keep the player on your roster until draft day when you see how it plays out. The Herremans replacement is either a FA or on the roster.
