Haslett is likely gone, any one know of the likely replacements?
Are you hoping for another 3-4 guy or a 4-3 guy?

i cant see how we go to a 4-3 defense, which will take a couple of years to get the players , with this fan base and owner
actually I don't think it will take as long as you might think to make the switch
took that long to switch from the 4-3 to 3-4 and history says it will take time
Rex Ryan (if fired) or Wade Phillips are my top choices. I'm in favor of going back to the 4-3 as well. The defense needs a new coach. Players just aren't getting coached correctly. Same mistakes over and over. 5 years.
That's because we should have never switched. I agree with Country. I don't think it would take as long as people think. The biggest impact would be on the LB corps. Riley can man the middle, Robinson one OLB and we need to find another. Kerrigan and Trent can both play with their hand in the dirt. We have plently of DE/DT type talent that has already played in the scheme.
Don't understand why it makes a difference if the team runs a 3-4 or 4-3. As I have said many times that is just a base defense. Many times the Redskins are running a 4-3 anyhow. Anyone watching? I think coaching is an issue, maybe with a new coach we find out we have some players that are better than we think.
Gutting two drafts .... there were some of us that warned about this at the time. It just doesn't make much sense to trade 4 potential starters for one unless that one was going to be a top 5 QB in the league. Nothing suggested that Griffin would be that based on the offense he ran in college. The team drafted a guy in the 4th round that should be getting another chance. If they can coach the INTs out of him he would be a good QB. Instead we are screwing around with guys that have 4 and 5 times as many starts and can't play.
My only concern about switching to a 43 is possibly screwing with Kerrigan as he is coming into his own.
Then nothing to really worry about, because Kerrigan has spent more time with his hand in the dirt than he has as a stand up LB'er dating back to high school. The adjustment should come naturally.
