I was hoping to see more of Gabbert, Ellington, Patton, Carrier, and McDonald on offense.

I think its fair to say both our teams have fallen from grace this season...

people kept saying the division was going to be between the 49ers and Seattle. Argghhhh. I kept saying don't count out Arizona or the Rams. There is still alot of games to be played. But still, things change from one season to the next. Nobody would have guessed that Dallas would be 5-1 at this point

They are a fools gold at 5-1. Much like KC last year or Atl the year before. I don't see them winning more than a game in the playoffs.

I meant Dallas btw

I agree. The season is long from over. My point is who would ever have guessed before the season that they would be 5-1 at this point and would win in Seattle. Practically no one.

What a shit show that was. I'm just glad it's over. I'd actually not have the bye week after this but I guess some of the minor injuries can maybe get better. I hate that I have to think about this loss for two weeks though.

I want an investigation into how the Washington Generals snuck into Niner uniforms for this game. NBC and the NFL were trying to ensure a perfect night for Peyton.

Actually, the bye week is a good thing. Niners need time to recover from this beatdown, and now us fans can put full focus on the World Series.

Broncos beat 49ers as Manning breaks record 42-17

It was the Peyton Manning party tonight in Denver for a National TV Audience as Manning breaks the NFL Passing record for TD's at 509. 49ers had a couple of chances to score TD's but a couple of key drops and penalties bit them in the behind Sunday night.

Denver dominated pretty much on all phases of the game. Kaepernick was sacked 6 times and the 49ers lost center Kilgore to injury and it looks like he is done for the season. Manning is a special talent and he was on target all night and seemed to find seems in the 49ers defense without much of a pass rush from the 49ers. You give Manning time and he will do a number on you a lot like Montana back in the day.

The 49ers came in on a short week of prep work but I was disappointed in the outcome and how they looked in general. The game was over by the end of the 3rd Qtr. All you can do is regroup and get some rest during this bye week for injured players as hopefully the 49ers get back Aldon Smith and Patrick Willis for the Rams game at home in two weeks.

The 49ers are now 4-3 and have gone through a tough stretch of games to open the 2014 season. The schedule seems to lighten up some here coming up but the 49ers have to find that next level and jump that bar.

It was Peyton Manning's night to shine and shine he did with congrats going out to him for a tremendous career in what might be the most difficult position in sports to play. He now stands at 510 TD's with more to come and it's cool with me that the 49ers don't have to face him any more this year . One exception would be the Super Bowl later on this season and then it's Game On !

Go 49ers !!

You're right. The schedule seems to lighten up, but we have to keep focused and play better. Take it easy and we'll get beat by any team. Steve Young exhorting his teammates to not go into autopilot during the 1994 season comes to mind.

49ers should trade for a center. Martin didn't look good.

Nice run game we had, Gore with 20 yards on 9 carries. And did you see the number of times the Broncs had 10 guys up tight on D? Just daring us to go long. On of those Kap tried it and got picked. Got to make teams pay for that.

The team was decimated:

2 starting CBs out, Tramaine Brock thrown into the fire after a long time off
3 Pro Bowl LBs out
Pro Bowl LG out
starting C hurt and out

If we are fully healthy, I think we could have kept it closer. But to beat the Broncos you need to bring a top shelf D clicking on all cylinders and play real nasty D. Seahawks D was clicking for their game vs. the Broncos and they beat them.

You gotta bring a real nasty D to have a chance against the Broncos. Also I don't think top shelf defenses will surprise the Broncos anymore, they got that surprise in last year's Superbowl. They'll be ready for it now.

Broncos will be tough to beat.

Our offense was pretty much at full strength. The game was over by the time Kilgore went down. Not saying we didn't have a lot of injuries but that game wasn't just a "we lost because we had injuries." Nothing worked, no one played well. Id love to think this game was only because of injuries, but I don't.

We will NEVER be full strength. I'm sensing this weird hope where we will magically get everyone back/healthy around the same week and make an amazing push. The fact is who knows when Bowman or anyone with an injury is even coming back. Like I said we will have to contine to play with injuries (every team does) but we need to have a better showing than that (especially on offense) even when we are down players. I think last night was kind of craz with how many injuries we had, yes, but there really wasn't one bright spot the entire night. We did have some starters in there. They shit the bed.

We need to figure out how to win games with back ups or I can't see us being in many games against better teams (or on the road). And unless the stars align and the magic or health/suspensions ending hit at the same spot, the back ups need to play better or we we fucked. I think I'm being pessimistic here by the way. I'll cool off in a couple days. I guess I just don't like this "we need to tread water until everyone gets healthy" narrative so many are clinging to.
