The announcers were talking about the notion that for that $25 mil, Howard is going give you 90-95 RBIs but they started to but stopped themselves short of calling Boobens an idiot for thinking Howard's production numbers were worth that amount of money per year when he signed dufus to that albatross of a contract.

If Howard could only be consistent. He alternates .200 months with .250 months so he only hits .225 overall. Mainly, they gave him the contract believing he would continue the production of previous years but the money was still just too much. Ownership wanted it.
