Mike Zunino is having a hell of a night. He has driven in all 3 Mariners runs tonight. He looks like he could have 25+ HR power. There have been a few that he has hit that were just a couple feet from going out.

I've been working a lot lately and went camping out in the middle of nowhere over the weekend, so I was surprised when I saw Felix was 7-1 after tonight's win. I don't feel so bad about proclaiming him my Cy Young pick this season back when he beat the A's at home.

The funny thing is he might have to beat out Kuma if both stay healthy. That guy just absolutely gets it done game in and game out. It's impressive.

Halos batting .431 against Maurer in his career.

But last year, I think he came into a game again them with a 7+ ERA, and had one of the best outings of his completely forgettable career so far.

Down 0-5, Maurer pitching and no Robinson Cano. Game over.

With Maurer on the mound, alone, it was over before it started. The Halos are a real MLB team and can hit below average fast balls all day, which is what they'll get since he can't throw anything else for strikes.

Combine that with one of the worst offenses imaginable, and that doubles the doom.

Interesting decision having Nick Franklin hit 2nd. He is hitting .154 with a .227 OBP.

0-3 tonight with 3 Ks. His most recent strikeout was with runners at 2nd and 3rd no outs and a full count, swung at a pitch in the dirt. Didn't expect him to suddenly be a world beater, but I expected better than this at least.
