 already have that one. My whole collection (just film noir) is:

Laura (#1 favorite movie all time. Even beats out The Lives of Others - if you can stand subtitles, you need to watch it)
The Postman Always Rings Twice
The Big Sleep
"dial M for Murder"
The Maltese Falcon
Casablanca
The Third Man
Too Late for Tears
The Man Who Cheated Himself
The Stranger
Strange Love of Martha Ivers
The Hitchhiker
Quicksand
Detour
The Scar
DOA
Jigsaw
Whistle Stop
He Walked By Night
The Chase
The Big Bluff
Kansas City Confidential
Port of New York
Suddenly
Buried Alive

- I haven't seen all of them, being a grad student makes movie-watching hard - but I'm always out to get more

Another couple to check out are Dead Reckoning and Conflict

Oh, as long as we are throwing in stuff film students worship: Anything with Chaplin, especially 'The Dictator'.

And they never come on TV, but:

Leaving Las Vegas
and
Raising Arizona

Both Nick Cage movies, before he started doing anything to fund his old lady and getting bailed out of jail by Dog the Bounty Hunter.

An actor whose scenes in movies I'll watch anytime they're on is Woody Harrelson. Christian Bale is the only guy acting right now that I can think of that does crazy as well as him.

Speaking of Cage, has The Rock been mentioned yet?

I liked 'Rounders', but I think it was because I have a gambling issue.

Fucken shit!:gaah: I cant believe I forgot to add this one & it's one of my favorite movies of all time, very powerful film, Best acting Nicolas Cage has ever done IMO. Elizabeth Shue was great also I must of forgot because I don't really ever see this film come on really on any channel or premium cable channels, at least not that I know of.

Also I should of added the Shawshank Redemption.

IMDB said:
Chuck Scott gets a job as chauffeur to tough guy Eddie Roman; but Chuck's involvement with Eddie's fearful wife becomes a nightmare.

Another couple to check out are Dead Reckoning and Conflict

I'll keep an eye out for them, thanks!

So wait are you guys talking about movies you love enough to endure them on tv in mutilated form? Or just your favorite movies? Because there are some movies (namely Dogma) that I can't endure on tv because I love them too much to see them with all the good stuff cut out.

I'm going to assume, that if it's a movie you don't miss, this means it's on television and you don't turn the channel once finding it. Otherwise the topic title would have been "Movies You Always Watch."

Don't watch movies on TV often but my DVDs of "The Sound Of Music", "West Side Story" and "Pink Panther"
I will never voluntarily part with.

If I ever get around to buying a copy of the Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau "Odd Couple" that willbe added tothe list.

"Fiddler On The Roof" I almost forgot to mention.

"Breakfast At Tiffany's" is good but that I might part with.

:noidea: It's the only one you ever see on TV. I remember they use to spam that thing on TBS and now it is popping up on Encore.

I had a Palestinian girlfriend from San Fran that was hardcore into "film noir". I bet I've seen "Fury" a hundred times. She was sort of a bummer, though.
