I've always wanted a green-texted thread :hope:

Should be a good game between two solid teams.

Off to participate in homecoming weekend boozing! :suds:

Just show up to the game on time. The recruiting group today (especially Damien Mama) need to know that we have a great fanbase. If today goes right, we not only set ourselves up for a BCS bowl, but we set ourselves up to have a solid team for years to come. Coach A and Barry know this. It's why they took the unprecedented step of offering those $5 gift cards if you show up early.

Wisconsin should rack up the rushing yds in this one. I expect they'll cover.

Wisconsin needs a colossal amount of help and luck to get to a BCS bowl this year with 2 losses already.

No they don't. They win out and they're at 10-2. Many at-large selections have had a 10-2 record.

Have you seen the rest of our schedule? Our toughest game is @ Iowa.

If we are good enough to win today, I expect 10-2. One of those losses deserves an *. The other loss was by seven on the road against Ohio State. There's no guarantees, but I think that's a BCS team.

But you would need Ohio State to lose TWICE in order to get to the Big Ten Championship. Then you would have to win that game.

As far as an atlarge, this is a really tough year with Texas A&M, LSU, Louisville, the loser of FSU and Clemson, etc. And also remember Michigan has not lost yet.

You can hope as a fan but it is a longshot even if you go undefeated.

Oh, we aren't going to win the B1G. That ship sailed when OSU beat Northwestern. But for the at-larges, there will be:

1. #2 SEC team
2. #2 ACC team
3-4. Two of #2 Big 12, #2 PAC, and #2 B1G

We will likely get the edge over any two-loss Big 12 teams because the conference lacks elite teams (best-case scenario is that there are 2, so two-loss Baylor or Oklahoma would have to lose to someone other than an elite team) and we have sympathy on one of our losses. We could also compete with a two-loss Pac team, though it is less safe. Basically, though, the only likely way we'd be out on Selection Day is if the ACC, PAC, and Big 12 runner-ups only lost once. I don't see that likely happening.

The game-changer would be if NIU or Fresno won out. They'd likely get an autobid, and would make it much tougher.

And also if Michigan gets to the Ohio State game undefeated. They would automatically be playing each other twice in a row and would both guarantee themselves BCS bowls. I don't think Michigan will get to 11-0 but it is just another thing you need to happen.

But I think Stanford and Oregon are in much better position to be in BCS games than Wisconsin and Ohio State.

You really need everything to go your way.

You really need Oregon to lose to Washington and also lose to Stanford and then pray that they like Wisconsin more than Oregon. Because Stanford won't lose to anyone besides Oregon and Oregon won't lose to anyone besides Stanford and maybe Washington but I doubt it.

FSU and Clemson won't lose to anyone besides each other. They are both locks.

Louisville is the only one in the American so you are good there.

Oklahoma and Baylor... we will see. You gotta get by one of them too.

I give it 5% chance if Wisconsin goes undefeated the rest of the way.

Really? would a BCS bowl want a Michigan team that had lost two straight games to end their season? I don't have a memory of too many BCS bowls taking teams that lost a CCG, but admittedly my memory isn't that sterling any longer.

If they somehow split those two games, maybe.

I agree. It's very uphill right now. A bunch of teams would have to go catastrophic for this to happen.

What is it with the awful bounces for Abbredaris. It's bad enough to fumble, but it seems like that bounces out of bounds for everyone in America. He needs to learn to knock it out.

Wow. Northwestern getting away with some pretty blatant penalties. Borland gets tackled and tripped... Next play an OL lays down behind Kelly so another guy can 3 Stooges push him over the dude on the ground.
