Panda goes from 3-0 to a Huffer.

Bad, bad game. Should have lost. Should have won. Eventually lost.

Gracias to Sandy Eggo for taking care of business.

And Rags and Bochy have to chew some butts on the pitching staff about now.

Good fucking grief these SPs have been atrocious.

From Baggs today:

After the Diamondbacks blitzed Ryan Vogelsong, Giants starters have completed seven innings just once in their last 11 games. It’s been an acute failure in the past seven games, when starters have averaged less than 4 2/3 innings per start.

The SPs have been fucking USELESS.

and ..... the really interestuing thing is that we went 7-4 during this stretch.

just not sure this approach will prove 'workable' in the playoffs ....

Somehow we've got to concentrate all the suck into one starting pitcher. I nominate Zito.

True. I'll put on my tunnel vision, and chalk it up to residual fatigue from the Dog Days of August. That isn't quite as corny as a Nuke LaLoosh post-game sound byte, but it makes me feel better... so does seeing the Giants up 4.5 games in the Division on September 5th. :charlie:

Does a team recover from a game like this?

In all my years of watching teams that haven't won a world series in my lifetime, they have not recovered from a game like this, and subsequently go on to win a world series.

If I remember correctly .... this particular loss may not qualify for a recovery failure .... I think the loss has to occur while playing the Reds ....
