If dodgers fans want to leave their money is SF, I don't see a problem. And why were you at Pier 39? That's like a SF native going to Alcatraz. It's just not done.

Word.

That's like complaining about the quality of the food at the "restaurants" at Pier 39.

1. Why the fuck would you go there?
2. We have a long tradition of raping the tourists for their cash anyway.

Yeah it's pier 39.... However I cannot abide selling Dodgers gear at the park. That actually bothers me.

I had mentioned in my GDthread :drama: that Kontos was sporting a 1.71 era in Fresnick and had only walked 7 dudes in 31.2 ip and he has had that type of control throughout his minor league career. He is apparently not a strikeout pitcher by any means. He was a starter in his first 3 minor league seasons I think... So maybe he's got more than just a fastball/slider?

Hes' got four pitches according to reports, but it's the fastball/slider he uses mostly, and which are his plus pitches. As a reliever he's going to rely on those. Anyway, I haven't seen him pitch, so I'm relying on other's observations.

I'm thinking they spotted some chicks from Fresno, or something similar.

AB: I TOLD EDLAUGHABLE NOT TO LET THE DOOR HIT HIS ASS ON THE WAY TO FRESNO, AND TO TAKE PILL WITH HIM. THEN I CALLED HUFF AND BURASS IN AND TOLD THEM BOTH NOT TO GET COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR LOCKERS EITHER. THEY'RE ALL PUSSIES.

WE'LL SEE WHAT THIS KONTOS HAS. I KNOW ONE THING: HIS LAST NAME AIN'T BOCHY.

its cuz I'm stupid. it was my friends birthday, and we were going to go to a casino. he said there was one in SF, so i googled it and RiverRock's website came up. had a location on Clay street. we show up, and its ThunderValley Express. we walk in and see its just a bus stop. so then we were in SF with nothing to do, so we ended up at Pier 39.

Giants lineup:

Blanco LF
Theriot 2B
Sandoval 3B
Posey C
Pagan CF
Belt 1B
Schierholtz RF
Crawford SS
Vogelsong P

vs,

Scott Feldman rhp (0-4, 7.01) 8.80 ERA over his last four after replacing the injured Neftali Feliz (elbow) in the rotation.

Crap, you mean it's the Giants' turn to get no-no'ed today?

My wife and I were visiting Fisherman's Wharf back when they opened the In 'n' Out. As we walked with the herd of tourists, all we heard was, "Do you know they have an In 'n' Out here now?!?"

On @%$!^%@$ Fisherman's Wharf! I mean, I know SF is a pretty "open" city and embraces a lot of strange stuff, but for the love of Bonds, is nothing sacred?

(Caveat- I happen to be a huge In 'n' Out fan. But this location is an abomination. Some city planner either got paid off or ___________ed multiple times to approve this one.)

Prior to today’s game, the Giants optioned RHP Steve Edlefsen to Triple-A Fresno and recalled RHP George Kontos from Triple-A Fresno.

GOOD! I never want to see that dude again!

And I still can't believe the Yankees gave us anything of value for Stewart.

I saw the comment in the "Misc" thread first, and I posted :

The Yanks got raped on that trade. Stewart for 6 years of (what could be) a good-to-great middle reliever?

Sounds like Kontos might have had "maturity" issues when he was with the Yankees.

Great thread so far guys. Strip joints, Pier 39 bashing, missed opportunities with the lady-folk...Too bad the game has to start.
