Just realized I don’t like this new Mitch White kid. He is a fuck’n Bell.

A fuck’n Bellermine Tinkerbelle.

Stepdad went to Bellermine.

I'm ambivalent. Dad went to Poly, which was Lowells big rival back in the day. He was OK with me getting into Lowell since Poly was closed.

I am thinking about turning in my Giants fandom card. I am realizing how many Belles have ties to the Giants…

Frandson
White
Burrell
Righetti

And no Lancers. Not a one.

It is a conspiracy, I tell you! The Tinkerbelles are taking over!

4-6 weeks for Murphy.

Good, in that it isn’t season ending, but bad in that we now have a dead roster spot for a month and a half.

We are going to be facing some real crunches in the coming days. Conforto, Slater and Ahmed are all eligible to come off the IL as soon as they are “healthy”.

Luciano is the no brainer for Ahmed. Wisely is a versatile, glove first player who is in a blistering hot spell at the plate right now. Not sending him down, and Lucky needs serious work on his defense.

Conforto is also somewhat easy. You gotta figure McKenna will be DFA’d to make room for him. I have actually kinda liked what I have seen from McKenna, but there just isn’t room for him.

I have no idea what they will do with Slater. He has a track record of hitting lefties well, but the OF picture is just getting REALLY crowded.

He will probably become "healthy" when another outfielder is "injured".

Right now Yaz OPS is barely below Matos. Matos is the young up and comer of course but for this year at least he is still useful with Lee out, he can play center and right and play them pretty well.

Yaz is on a one year arb deal Boston can just sign him next year for pretty cheap

A lot of Bo Bichette rumors out there the last few days. What would it cost? Luciano and Eldridge? I think that would be the starting point. Though I suspect the Giants would balk at Eldridge. Maybe Whisenhunt and Roupp instead?

Bichette is signed through ’25, earning 17.5M in ‘25.

I've read Luci and Whiz.

Tempting, but I think I'd pass..

Luci heading to the IL it looks like, Ahmed will be ready before Marco is back so this makes it easy to send him back to AAA to work on defense. Who comes up, Casey or VR?

With Fitz and Wise, I think we are covered at SS. I think we are good with whoever is hotter between VR and Schmidt.

I am not certain Lucky is a star as an OFer. And this org has a generational track record of developing pitchers, so I am more willing to part with pitching prospects because of that. I think I would be OK with Lucky/Whis for Bichette.

That makes sense, but I think that's a bit too much to pay for a guy having a crap year.

Crap was probably too strong a word...down year so far. He could turn it around and regress to his 120 OPS+ mean. I'd be ok sending out Luci and Black/Birdsong
