And I just put the guys in the pen who cause the need for long guys in the pen to begin with.

I put guys into the rotation who I think are the starters who can keep the bullpen out of the game the most.

I suppose there is really no real good answer.

Right-hander Max Scherzer played catch Wednesday morning for the second consecutive day he attempts to keep his arm as active as possible as he recovers from a low-grade strain of the teres major muscle in his shoulder.

The Rangers still don’t see Scherzer pitching again in the regular season, which has only 10 games remaining. The wild-card round of the postseason is scheduled to begin Oct. 3. The American League division series are scheduled to start Oct. 7.

Scherzer would not have to start from scratch on a throwing program as long as he’s able to continue throwing.

Scherzer recovered early from both of his last two injuries and I expect the same this time.

I bet if the season is on the line in the last game he will ask for the ball.

Also I expect him to pitch in the post season if there is one for the Rangers.

He should get his shot if he feels like he can. IMO it's worth the risk.
I'd also bring up Langford. I'd make every possible move to try and win.
