Much better than he's been, if he gives us 5 IP and 2 ER every time that's fine. Still need a legit playoff level 3rd starter however even if he does become that.Ultimately, a disappointing outing for Strip.
Had a chance to exit clean, but stepped on his own dick with the balk.
Sigh...and the hitters are awfully hacky tonight.
5 one pitch ABs 0-5 with a RBE
6 two pitch ABs 2-6
4 three pitch ABs 1-4
No bueno.
I read your post and expected to see the Giants down by a 5-1 score. They are up 3-2.Ultimately, a disappointing outing for Strip.

No they are winning because they are getting solid pitching and have scored a few runs. Just gotta get this lead to Taylor Tyler CamiloI read your post and expected to see the Giants down by a 5-1 score. They are up 3-2.
Seems like they are winning in spite of themselves.
Welp I jinxed 'em. Thanks for fucking up my point Manaea. And get a haircut.
A win is always a good way to start the 2nd half (and also to usher in the offseason).Nice win! Good way to start the 2nd half
Can't disagree thereA win is always a good way to start the 2nd half (and also to usher in the offseason).
The Giants might need to have an honest conversation about what role Sean Manaea can capably fill. He’s not a starter, he’s not a bulk innings reliever. Can he be a one-inning guy? Maybe, but at some point, they have to consider whether they can get better value from someone else.Welp I jinxed 'em. Thanks for fucking up my point Manaea. And get a haircut.
He's been fine as a 3-4 inning guy overall. They aren't all gonna be aces. But they need one more legit guy to either emerge or trade forThe Giants might need to have an honest conversation about what role Sean Manaea can capably fill. I think he can be an effective inning eater in low-leverage situations. But that’s about the extent. Stripling, I think is the lost cause. The Giants might need to have an honest conversation about what role Sean Manaea can capably fill. He’s not a starter, he’s not a bulk innings reliever. Too soon to write off either especially Stripling. And hard to call small deals like those "epically bad". But baseball is definitely weird.I think he can be an effective inning eater in low-leverage situations. But that’s about the extent. Stripling, I think is the lost cause.
Two epically bad FA signings in one off season. In the same off season that featured the Judge and Correa fiascos. But then the org decides to have a farm renaissance that saves face for the entire org.

I guess we have different definitions of "fine."He's been fine as a 3-4 inning guy overall. They aren't all gonna be aces. But they need one more legit guy to either emerge or trade for

I think this contract is going to be an albatross next year. OTOH, if Strip hits it's all good. We only needed one of the two
I'm of the opposite opinion -- I think Manaea is a lost cause, but I still have hope Strip can be a legit back of the rotation guy.I think he can be an effective inning eater in low-leverage situations. But that’s about the extent. Stripling, I think is the lost cause.
