It’s going to happen when Garver makes it back IMO. They will keep the catcher Leon

Over the next 10 to 14 days, we should see Ezequiel Duran and Garver return which will require moves. The logical moves would be Thompson and to DFA Miller but who knows with the Rangers

Duran is on the IL and it’s clear when he returns. Remember Jankowski was out 3+ weeks. Right Bubba fulfills a need. And neither he or Miller require much playing time. When Duran & Garver return playing time will be at a premium and there will be complaining

We will be complaining because some of the guys will not be getting the playing time we think they should. Semien, Seager, Lowe, Garcia, Jung, Heim & Taveras will get the majority(90+%) of the playing time at 2B, SS, 1B, RF, 3B, C & CF leaving LF & DH for the others (Duran, Garver, Smith & Grossman) to fight for time

Yeah, but teams back then usually carried only 9 or 10 pitchers and 15 or 16 position players. It is easy to have a Herb Washington on the bench when you have 6 or 7 bench players.

I don't have a problem with Bubba on the bench, for now.

No argument which leaves the other 3 who won’t. Garver will see most of his time at DH which happens to also be the same position that Duran & Grossman will see most of their time. LF is left to be split between Duran, Smith & Grossman. It’s going to get sticky

Duran and Smith are good and can hit. Grossman not so good on defense.but also can hit. Bubba is terrible with a bat.

But even carrying Janis means that there has to be an open spot. Semien, Seager, Lowe, Garcia, Jung, Heim, Taveras, Duran, Smith, Leon, Grossman, Garver & Miller (if they don’t DFA him)
