I binged this over the last few days.
As I said up-thread, it has been 25-30 years since I read the books, so I don’t remember any details, only vague topics and some flashes. A lot of the show seemed completely new to me, but I am not sure it was new for the show, or just forgotten by me. A lot of the show also reminded me of aspects of the books that I had forgotten.
All that said, I am basically coming in fresh, so I was hardly comparing it to my preconceived expectations, and I REALLY enjoyed it. I hope there are more seasons.
I think the big picture is fascinating, but the script is really shitty. It is confusing. Pretty sad since it looks like some of the actors have skill and the the budget looks pretty high too.As a fan of the books, I admit I am biased, but I fricking think this series is awful. Trying to view this from a non-book view, I think the series is confusing, convoluted, disjointed, targeted and altogether a waste of time.

Reminds me of how game of thrones fell apart.
Will still watch though.
Yeah…. Apple is pretty worthless. Ted Lasso is REALLY the only reason to ever sign up. I enjoyed Foundation, but I can’t really argue against the complaints about it. I have not seen Invasion, and don’t plan to. It has gotten horrible reviews. Morning show has good production value and an impressive cast, but it is not surprising that Brian Stelter is one of the people behind the show.At least GOT had a good start. I got Apple TV for free, and when the trial period ends, I won’t be renewing it, so won’t be watching Foundation after that.
