Carson Wentz is trash. The Eagles WR corps is trash. The Eagles O-Line is trash. The Eagles coaching staff is trash. That team needs an overhaul and if Carson is their guy...GET HIM SOME FUCKING REAL HELP!

With that said, I would love to see Jalen Hurts get the ball. Just to see what he can do.

Oh this is an apology thread? Hmm....I'm sorry that the Philadelphia Eagles had 1 fluke season where they won the Super Bowl and got Eagles' fans' hopes up.
and still in the playoffs if the season ended today. NFC East...2020 style...

It's the new Apple anti-bully filter. They have determined Carson Wentz to be a protected class...

WTH? I'm all confused... I thought Freddie was the OC before he became the HC?
Yup and his brilliance the second half of the season was proof that the Browns and Baker were going to become an unstoppable juggernaut...paraphrasing of course...

As much as I dislike Philly culture and some of their overzealous fans, I have a hard time having a hyperbolic reaction to this season from Carson Wentz. In his career he still has a better then 2 to1 TD to INT ratio. There's obviously a team chemistry/coaching issue and I can't isolate Wentz as the Eagles' biggest problem.

The only thing that triggers a cynical reaction from me is the media(and some Chiefs) continuing to campaign for Eric Bienemy as a head coaching candidate. Matt Nagy and Doug Pederson got HC jobs because they were part of a coaching staff that got decent production out of an average QB like Alex Smith. There's no way I'd hire a guy who rode the coattails of Patrick Mahomes.

If you can't see how Wentz is a huge part of the problem you haven't been watching. He is missing guys all over the field.

Eagles fans are likely reminiscing fondly of the days of him being brittle. An injury this year would be a blessing in disguise. I will say this for Wentz. He is one tough sonofabitch. Just throws passes like Blake Bortles.

Well a couple things on this post.
1. Wentz plays the biggest position for a football team. So while not the only problem the eagles has. He is the biggest problem.
2. I agree Bienemy will be a HC next year
3. Alex Smith is an underrated QB not an average QB. He was drafted by a 2-14 Niner team (with 1st pick in draft) who completely sucked. So it did take a few season before he had a winning season. However once he did get his 1st winning season. he has never had a losing season since. No matter what team he has played for, or who his coaching staff has been. Since 2011 he has had only winning seasons. Even with the shit niners he ended his career there with a winning record. obviously he has a winning record everywhere else since he has never experienced a losing record since. Went to a dogshit Redskin team that was predicted to finish 4th in division & had them in 1st place when he got injured. This year he has a winning record (so far) with a shit team, coming off what most thought to be a career ending injury. That doesnt sound average to me. Just because you are not an all time great, doesnt mean you are simply an average QB. He is a QB that wins wherever he goes.
4. I agree Pederson got his HCing job by riding Andy Reid's coattails. Even in his good year for the eagles he had Frank Reich. But if he had Alex Smith. He probably would have won more games. If I had to choose one "or" the other, I would take an Intelligent Qb over a Physically gifted one anytime.

I watched last nights game and to me it was about 50/50. Half the time it was what Baldy tweeted out and Wentz was flat out awful. That's still terrible for any starting QB, let alone a guy eating a huge chunk of your cap.
But the other 50% of the time, I saw 7 or 8 flat out drops, a group of WRs that can't run routes and/or have zero burst to get seperation and honestly, they were a better group last year with the practice squad guys. I see a coach that seems to be oblivious to that and continues to call the same dumb plays that never work. And Howie might just be the worst evaluator of talent in all of football. Fwiw, Hurts is no answer either but he likely can't be worse.
Not defending Wentz, mind you. His accuracy is awful and he constantly overthrows or underthrows open guys. He seemingly has no idea how to read the defense at times and will try big plays that are called even when they have no chance instead of checking off to easy wide open chain movers.
Lurie has to be fuming in the owners box and if he is as smart as I think he is and passionate about winning, he needs to blow this whole thing up and rebuild with different people in the F.O. and on the sideline.

It's time to bench Wentz. Not all is his fault but he is a big part of the problem.

3 consecutive season ending injuries and then to lead the league in interceptions.

That's 110M in guaranteed money kinda good!
