In no realistic world can I see Kyrie and KD working out.

It is possible.

There is a decent amount of talent on that roster without them.

All going to depend on Kyrie, IMO.

I wouldn’t bet on this team, but I wouldn’t rule it out either.

Congrat's to the Lakers. Having the best 2 players on the floor every game is a pretty powerful thing in the NBA... and the Lakers had that advantage in every playoff match-up.

I would have liked to see a LAL vs LAC showdown... but it wasn't in the cards this year.

I haven't looked closely but aren't some folks saying that's possible?

Let's check the odds:

Nevermind, @lebron23james wrong again.

I find it hilarious that the Nets are like 15th on this list.

Bucks should not trade Giannis. Their return will just make them forever mediocre. Tweak the roster and try for a title in 2021. Then pray you did enough to resign him.

The alternative is an eternity of irrelevance.

Since when is 32 too old to play in the NBA... Lebron is 35 and just won title

LeBron is also a freak of nature.

Not sure what the last time a 35 year old has been the best player on a title team,?but I think it might have been Jordan.

These finals losses are getting easier and easier to take. Maybe it's age or maybe it is how they went down.

2011 vs Dallas- I was devastated for quite a while since they choked game 2 away and gave away game 4 or 5 as well. The lockout or the Heat hate at that time didn't help either

2014 vs Spurs- Even though i went into that series expecting another win especially after we stole home court in game 2, the writing was clearly on the wall after the Spurs embarrassed Miami in Miami in games 3 and 4. No way would they lose 2 of 3 including 2 in San Antonio

2020 vs Lakers- Season was already a success so just wanted 2 things from them. Don't get swept and to compete. They didn't get swept and competed in 4 of 6 games. Also watching Jimmy Butler lead Miami to 2 wins with 2 of the best single game performances in NBA finals history was good enough for me. I was over this game by the time the Lakers went up 20 or so late in the 2nd.

Probably both.

This year’s team was supposed to lose in the second round. They had a great run that lasted longer than expected.

Easy to enjoy that as a fan even when it does eventually end short of a title.

In an unrelated move, the Clippers are impressed with Mike Brown....

It is so good to be back at the top of the NBA tying the Celtics with 17 banners. It has been a long decade of craziness and crap in Lakerland with the Buss family and a myriad of bad coaches and players to last a lifetime. Congrats to the Miami Heat for their competitiveness and grit and they'll be in the hunt next year as well. The Lakers are favored to repeat in 2021 but we shall see.

Lots of speculation about who is coming and going on both teams. Three guys on the Lakers that surely will be gone are J.R. Smith, Deion Waiters, and Javale McGee. Others that may be gone in trades: Kyle Kuzma, Jared Dudley, and Quinn Cook. Danny Green may or may not go. Dwight Howard may certainly go after big money elsewhere, retire, but many are stating that he'll re-up with the Lakers because he likes playing with LeBron and AD. The last option is very viable at this point.

The Heat are only going to add to an already talented and young roster. I suspect they'll try to get a tad bigger in the frontcourt. I would not be surprised to see Riley go after Giannis to add a really good piece to an already Championship level team that now has Finals experience under their collective belts. Should be fun to watch what Riley does in the next couple of months.

Should be a pretty good NBA season to come as LeBron and company attempt to add to their legacies and set some new records. Lots of kudos to spread around as well. Congrats Jeannie Buss on your first Banner and it was you that put this whole year together for Laker Nation. We all remember that disaster of a brother you removed from any control over the Lakers. Thank you! I hope this is the start of more banners going forward.

There have more than a few 35 year olds play good. Winning a championship has more to do with the team and right coach

The statement, however wasnt about 35 year old players in general even though that too would be stupid... The statement was Lebron would be to old to play.. You all need to take your Lakers haters blinders off because they cant tell you the future
