Paul Pierce should not be on any talk show let alone ESPN. Dude is a clown

If I was an employee at ESPN that got laid off, I'd wonder in what universe Pierce gets to keep a job. I understand former basketball player, but he's so god awful and is a joke.

Clearly didn't understand what i said

Understood it just fine. What I said was a completely new and different statement In order to get a reaction from you and it clearly worked.

But I posted a Lakers tweet and as usual you got your panties in a bunch of no reason whatsoever. You share 20 Heat tweets about their underdog status and how well they’ve done to get here and it’s all cool. For some messed up reason you seem to have a real problem whenever I post anything pro-Lakers - it’s like you’re looking for an argument.

And FYI, every part of my reposted tweet was true. Sometime tomorrow I’ll post a detailed message where people where giving the Blazers, Rockets and Nuggets more props than the Lakers.

Before the playoffs started, we were talking about how the Lakers had the most difficult path possible. Which they did.

Blazers were a very formidable 8 seed who could have been a 4 with a healthy season. The Rockets has 2 stars and a huge test to the Lakers style.

The only thing that changed was Denver upsetting the Clippers and Miami legitimately emerging as the best team in the East. All of a sudden people are saying “what an easy path”.

It really wasn’t. The Lakers just made it look easy.

Outside of Charles Barkley, who predicted the Lakers to lose to Portland? Most thought it would go 6 or 7 but everyone basically had Lakers winning that series so that tweet is pretty much false.

2) Whoever said they were done against Houston? Lol another made up story

3) The Denver tweet he posted is another thing i never heard so 0-3 right now

4) The easy path to the finals tweet? I've seen people say that since the Clippers went down but i dont agree with it so that one is very accurate. He went 1-4. The other 3 are basically made up at least when it comes to what i heard from the national media about those series

And fyi, giving the blazers, nuggets, and rockets props isnt the same as predicting them to win 4 of 7 vs the lakers

Would be more funny if it was accurate. Only the last one is true

I agree. Portland has never been a great playoff team. In the end, they don't play defense, and if you somehow can contain their back court, you have an easy series on your hand. Houston is a fraud every year. Everyone knew they weren't a legit contender. I don't think I ever heard one person say that Lebron needs to watch out for Russ and Harden.

Denver I thought could take the Lakers to 6 games and lose, but that's about it. Lakers instead won in 5.

I would've said the Clippers would've been an easy matchup, but they screwed the pooch so bad that they're not worth mentioning and by no means is that the fault of the Lakers.

Yeah, the tweet was a little over the top. I don't think a lot of folks were saying that the Lakers would lose any of those series, but they were saying that they would be tougher than they actually ended up being and that each of those teams could push the Lakers to 6 or 7 games.

As for the path being easier because they got the Nuggets instead of the Clippers...the Clippers didn't get there, so they clearly weren't good enough.

Interestingly, the Lakers and Heat took the same number of games (15) to get to the finals. Both are 12-3 in the playoffs so far.

I've never understood the "Well, you had an easier path because you didn't have to go through such and such team".

If that team was good enough, they'd have been there.

The only time that argument holds water, imo, is if a team suffered key injuries (i.e. the Warriors losing to the Raptors) and even then, injuries are part of the game.

lol

You sure get twisted up over some bullshit sometimes.

I mean seriously, who the fuck cares?

So someone on a tweet exaggerated how much of a threat the teams the Lakers beat were said to be. Guess what? The Lakers made all of those "it's gonna be a tough path for the Lakers" tweets and comments look pretty exaggerated too.

Gonna be interesting to see what, if any, other moves are made. I read earlier that the only untouchable on the Clippers roster is Kawhi.

We'll never get to hear it because he'll never talk, but it would be really interesting to hear what Kawhi's thoughts are on all of this. Clearly this was not what he envisioned when he decided to directly challenge Lebron and the Lakers by going to the Clips.

I wonder how untouchable he'll consider himself if he doesn't like the way things go this off-season.

I agree with what @tlance posted that PG probably really hurt his trade value.
