He was promoted to interim HC. He wasn’t retained, that doesn’t mean he was fired. That’s like saying Golden State releases Kevin Durant last off-season.

Well, you inserted yourself in a conversation you weren't involved in so you just assumed you knew what the conversation was about.

I was talking about fandom and how a fan of a team can be fine with not making it to a national title game after being in the CFP. It's not an argument about whether Oklahoma had a chance in this game, it was a discussion about fandom and how I personally can't understand how a fan of a team can be okay with 4th place when they had an opportunity to finish 1st.

You follow the Steelers, Yankees & Celtics... kinda all over the place championship winners. Many of us follow regional teams where live. But I guess you can always pick multiple all-time championship winners across the country and then question the the pulse of the average fan.

If we picked teams like you do; we could watch the championships roll in.
