Because history shows that it in all likelihood will happen, and Lamar Jackson has not proven he can be a successful passer at this point in his career due to lackluster mechanics/progression patterns. YET, a ton of analysts and experts are treating him like he's one of the most successful up and coming QBs in the league.

Just sit back and enjoy the Lamar Jackson show like you did two weeks ago. Don't worry about tomorrow. Live for today.

Good lord. People are still talking about Russell Wilson. He's having an MVP caliber year. There's no reason to be jealous.

What in the world of fuck does Russell Wilson have to do with any of this?

He's 0-1 against the most "over-rated QB of all time".

I predict Russell Wilson develops webbed hands some time in the next two years and can no longer throw a football.

Good comparison. I'm probably going overboard comparing Jackson to Barry Sanders and Gale Sayers.

Those guys were certainly pretty special. But I was certainly impressed with Jackson last night. I'm hoping that Belichick and company will do a much better time if they happen to meet again.

He looked pretty damm good last night!!! I do think people need to enjoy it while they can though.

Now I agree with that. Jackson is fun to watch. I hate that he beat up on my Hawks but the dude is elusive as F all and brings back haunting memories of the most ridiculous player in video game sports history... 2004 Michael Vick.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing him prove me wrong at all, and be a great QB into his mid 30s with the running game to support his playstyle. I just don't think it'll happen.

We already covered this. Your defense had more to do with that loss than Jackson did. And you're really going there? "Oh our guy beat your guy in a game, so he's obviously better!" Dude.. c'mon Money... knock it off. I've been bringing up that I thought Lamar Jackson would be a bust since LAST YEAR. It has nothing to do with the Hawks. Go back and find my posts, it's all there. And I will 100% eat crow if I'm wrong. I'm one of the FEW posters on SportsHoopla that does it.

Well...thank god you gave yourself a two-year window, because your "bust" tag isn't working out so well right now.

I'm confident he will come up with something because he is Bill Belichick. Maybe have two DB's spy Jackson? LOL.

So you're saying it's too late to change it to a 3 year window?

After a couple of weeks I will have no recollection that there was a window, let alone how long it was.

WTF are you doing in a couple weeks? If you'll have no recollection of this conversation... I assume it's something... fun... either way can I come?

Read where the teams that have managed to stuff him (Chargers and Cleveland?) did so second time around.

After the Ravens first drive I thought two things

1: Crap, the Ravens did this to the Patriots in a play off game
2: Could be a 59-0 game

Julian Edelman taking the blame for the loss. Not all on him at all. Certainly didn't help but the defense being uncharacteristically bad and jumping offsides which allowed Lanar to walk in for the touchdown and the offense sucking in the red zone (not tying game at halftime) were the true reasons why not Edelman

Tip of my cap to you Ravens and ok to yours well @Oldschool739 @Money

You're a class act redseat, and so was the Pats after the game last nite :yo:....I'm still pinching myself to make sure it was real though...I'm renaming Buckwheat to Lamarvelous after that one....
Looks like I miscalculated his ability....

Same as you. I can't say anything bad about the Ravens last night, nor should I. They won. Outsmarted, outcoached out everything last night. Now I hope you guys loss every remaining game but :suds: I think these two teams will meet again and I hope its reversed but if the Ravens play like that again it probably will be same result. See what happens with a competent QB running things? Sorry Flacco... lol

Lots of people miscalculated him. There's probably 30 teams that wish they had him about now.....

You know how I knew he would be great?

You didn't like him and you are always wrong!
