The stress level of a 1 game playoffs is insane. Still which they make this best of 3

I like the one game scenario.

It's high stress, intense, and the highest of stakes.

The atmosphere in Pittsburgh when they played the Reds in the WCG was something I thought I'd never see at PNC Park(which is one of the better parks in the Majors)

Not if you’re a twins fan playing the Yanks. No stress when you know the result.

Even if you’re up 3-0 early.

If the Brewers get one more run, they hit their over for the game.

If Ryan Braun would either retire or die, it would make pulling for the Brewers a whole lot easier.

I miss Kurt. AA made a big mistake choosing Tyler Flowers over him. Anibal Sanchez can eat a dick though. He strained his pussy every time someone looked at him crossways for us last season, and would leave critical games in the second inning with a contusion, but somehow he's been mostly healthy for the Nats this season.

If you spell your name Trea, you're a fag.

Trea Turner HOME RUN cuts the Nationals deficit to 3-1.

That’s why I would take Acuna over Soto. Defense

I love the wildcard games. The Braves experience in one was painful(and I had to dodge stuff being thrown on the field from my second row seat), but they're intense.

The Giants hitting a 3 run bomb in the top of the 9th against the Mets in a 0-0 game(Bumgarner at his best) is one of the top crowd silencing moments of all time.

Scherzer wasn't very good at all in September. I get the track record, but I would have went with a hotter hand. Strasburg's ERA was nearly 3 runs lower in September, and Corbin had a much stronger end to the season as well.

In September and October to end the regular season in 2016, Bumgarner had a 3.92 ERA. Cueto had a 1.78 ERA.

Bumgarner had given up 26 HRs during the season. Cueto had given up 15.

Who would you have gone with for the wild card game?

I would have gone with Cueto, because I didn't think Bumgarner's road playoffs ERA could get lower, and the number of HRs given up, when compared to Cueto, had scared me.

I also thought Jay Bruce was going to hit a HR, after not doing so against the Giants in the 2012 playoffs when he had a 12 pitch battle against Sergio Romo for the penultimate out of game 5 in the division series.

Those were my reasons, for what it's worth, at that time.

A .247, 32-year old journeyman beat Scherzer.

Seeing the beer in your avatar, this was the beer I had during last year's AL Wild Card game.

That's not a typo, 18.5% beer.

I'll have something from the same brewery for tomorrow's AL Wild Card game.

Let's hope the game's not over in the first inning like it was last year.

(I had the Nationals and Rays winning this year's wild card games).

Scherzer issues another walk.

2 on, 1 out in the 5th.

Still wish they make this best of 3

I've been saying this for the last few years.
Football has the one & done format...which is fine for that particular sport...but baseball is a game predicated on playing a series.
A best of 3 should be the way to go for the MLB WC round.

The WC team with the better regular season record would still host all 3 games if necessary, and tie breakers would come into play if needed. WC series winner still gets to play the League's best overall team record wise.

It's not rocket surgery. Get on board, Manfred.

I’d like to try that. Never heard of it. I just finished a few 8% Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ales this week’s though. Great seasonal brew.
