I can’t “picture” myself ever returning to this forum.
You have piqued my interest. How far a hike and how long a stay? I see a crappy pad but no visible tent?
According to the trail map it is 47 miles from start to finish, adding in searching for my brother after he got lost, my pedometer tracked it closer to 49 miles. We did the hike in just over 3 days. You have piqued my interest. How far a hike and how long a stay? I see a crappy pad but no visible tent?
Lake Superior. September of 2017.Is that Lake Michigan?
I got a bunch more but that is actually me.

This year’s hike was a bust after park rangers kidnapped my brother in the middle of the night. Apparently my sister in law thought it was more important for my brother to come see their new born baby (10weeks early) than to finish our hike.
New pack for my birthday but you can see the same pad and same chair above it.

Saw some deer in 2017 and there were signs warning about bear sightings but we didn’t see any of them, thankfully.Looks like a great place for hunting deer and bear. I forgot, it's a park.
My brother and I saw a bear while hiking in Virginia. Luckily 1) his dog didn't chase it and 2) it just darted across the path. Barely even saw it, really.Saw some deer in 2017 and there were signs warning about bear sightings but we didn’t see any of them, thankfully.
My first hike on the Manistee river we saw a bear cub from like 100 yards away. We ended up camping about a half mile from there. Worst night of sleep because where there is a bear cub, there is bear mom.My brother and I saw a bear while hiking in Virginia. I tried that once but they got pissed off about the campfire at my campsite.I love camping out. The last year, I have found Best Western to be the best camping site
