We've mentioned endlessly that the rest of baseball has gone to giving the bullpen a late, clean inning. Starters normally going six, maybe seven innings.

But Noggin refuses to learn and adapt. I guess I am OK with Strat starting the 8th, but after the leadoff double, he should have been pulled. Instead, he gives up a triple, and we need to rely on the bully to keep the lead. This time it worked. Instead of "nice seven innings, kid", it's "oh, crap, I hope we can hold on and not lose this for you."

Someone (maybe it was you, cal) posted last year that Goldschmidt's numbers against the Giants are good but not what we thought they would be. Arenado, however, has absolutely killed us. With the way 2018 has gone so far, Goldschmidt's numbers have to be getting closer to Arenado level.
