Its possible just due to the nature of the Central and the Wild Card spot. I dont think its possible for them to beat the Dodgers or Nationals in a series with the injuries and age issues they've sustained without a rally cat, squirrel, dog, skunk, deer, cow, goat and chicken coming out every inning.

My theories:

1. One of the smallest -- if not the -- metropolitan areas to have pro football, baseball and basketball. The Indians compete with the Browns and Cavs for Clevelands' expendable income. It's a browns town and Lee Brown is a big draw for the Cavs.
2. Geographically landlocked. Two hours to the east is the Pirates. Two hours to the west you start running into Tigers and to a lesser extent Cubs territory. Two hours south you butt up against Reds territory. Immediately north is a shitton of water.
