In all honesty the coach won't matter if we don't have the right personnel.

I know we aren't making any additions before a new HC is hired but Pelinka has to figure out who he is targeting in FA and a possible trade or 2. That will determine next season more than the HC IMO.

They're both factors. Rob needs to know what he's shopping for, and the new coach's system is key to that. If the new coach intends to play small ball, or blitz on defense, or whatever, he needs to find players that fit.

I think we all agree that the Lakers could've gone further this year with a better head coach, even with the injuries and current roster.

Yea, touche, DJ. lol. I was admonishing myself as well especially when one gets excited about a particular item. What's the cliche saying?: "Do as I say, not as I do!" lol.

Klutch players in the house at the Klutch pro day. Bronny played pretty well....his draft stock has risen over the last month.

Just a stupid move and thinking that Redick is the guy. Lakers should also consider Cleveland's HC that just got fired. Bickerstaff is his name.

Bickerstaff was pretty uncreative on offense with the Cavs. Just like Ham.

Bill Simmons had a creative but unlikely trade scenario.

Bron for PG. Bron gets to stay in LA and help Ballmer open his new arena. PG also gets to stay in LA since both his parents are in poor health and he forms a younger duo with AD.

If it happened (unlikely as said earlier) I have to think the Lakers also get a 1st rounder and maybe a pick swap as well.

I actually would t mind that since Bron only has a few years left. And he likely to have a Kobe type finish where he plays 25-40 games when he starts breaking down.

And Pelinka could flip Russell (in a sign and trade) plus a few picks for another guy. A #3. Or Reaves, Hachimura and a few picks....

Yep, DJ. I like both scenarios especially if the Lakers hire Cassell or Borrego as HC. PG and a trade or two to move James, DRuss, Vincent, and guys like Reddish to get a younger point guard who can consistently play would def be good moves. Reaves and Hachimura could go either way depending on the new HC's perspective.
