We have 4 other major sports. England had to beat a country with 4 million people to get to the final and couldn’t.

All the experts said Croatia was going to get tired after all the extra time games...and it looked like England was the tired. No substitutes for Croatia for the first 90 minutes either. I believe they are the first team to win 3 straight extra time games in the World Cup. I predicted before the round of 16 in this thread they would make the final (against Brazil). How valuable is a guy like Modric? Could win Champions League and World Cup in just under 2 months.

England was not that good. Their path made them look good. Barely beat Tunisia with a Kane injury time goal. Tunisia in injury time? Pounds a horrendous Panama team. Loses to Belgium. Has to go to penalties against a no James Columbia. Finally looks decent against Sweden and then flames out for good today.

I only saw a few plays here and there on a big TV downstairs at work, but I did see England get a clear chance at a fantastic shot on goal later in the first half and they chose to politely pass it around near the net until somebody finally took an ineffective little chip that went way wide.
Seemed like they were afraid to just go for it!!!

England also has cricket, strangling small animals, golf, and...one more I can't remember.

Yes, but their fans wore their magic tablecloths and the curse was too hard to overcome. I like France to win.

France might go on a multiple year run here with that young talent. Euro final in 2016, World Cup final (maybe champion) in 2018...Euro 2020 who is to stop them with all that young talent. Only Nigeria were younger than France. Mbappe in his prime could be very scary for the other teams.

I wouldn’t sleep on England in the future either. They had the same average age as France and southgate looks like the right man for the job.
