No, I had stated earlier in this thread. that I don't think he is a Top 10 but certainly a Top 20.

Hornibrook may not be a Top 10 QB but he is solidly in the top 20. He gets trashed because he doesn't have gaudy stats but when you have Wisconsin's running game you don't need to throw the ball 40 times a game.

...and yes, he does throw too many INTs

Athlon has Hornibrook at 26th.

Sporting News ranked the top 25 and Hornibrook wasn’t part of it.

ESPN ranked the top 25 QB rooms and Wisconsin wasn’t part of that.

He is a game manager, which is all Wisconsin needs for their style of play. The biggest issue is if Wisconsin falls behind. Hornibrook isn’t a QB that is going to sling it all over the field.

Hornibrook was 22-24 last year in QBR and passing efficiency. He's a JR now, so more experience. He'll be Top 4 in the Big Ten and top 15-18 in the NCAA.

Granted, there have been freshman QBs that made an immediate impact but they are few and far between. O'm not saying he is great but he is decent. Wisconsin needs a game manager to be good but a decent QB puts them in the hunt for the CFP after we win our division.(first things first). Ain't no need to trash Hornibrook when he hasn't been asked to do much.

Being able to play without any real game pressure or pressure from the defense is completely different than going to a passing academy. You can have guys who are combine heroes but are real game zeroes. Hornibrook needs to actually show up in the big games before we say that he’s legit. He has not been big in the biggest lights. He has an NFL offensive line, and NFL running back, and great receivers paired with a pathetically weak non conference schedule his entire time at Wisconsin.

That's the problem with recruiting 3* players. You have to develop them. 5* QBs are Heisman candidates the day they "graduate" from high school.

Not if those rating were inflated or the coaches screwed 'em up. The rusty cows have proven that ain't always right. Last good QB they had was a 3* guy out of Jim Ned HS school in tiny Tuscola, TX!

Agreed. I have no details about what happened here, but these guys really need to get it through their heads that you can't put yourself in a situation where nothing good will result. That would be carousing at 3am with your buddies or any other situation that usually results in negative consequences. Yes, they're kids and all, but they all have 2 ears and 1 mouth and should use them accordingly.

I hope he's innocent, I really do, but if he's guilty he needs to be punished severely. Just like every other member of society...not as a football player, as a citizen...
