So, does everyone remember that pedigree point that is consistently waived over our heads in regards to Laviolette's coaching ? He has a Cup.

BUT..

Think about the team that won that cup. Think about how it was made up...

The Huricanes had one of the fastest skating mobile blue lines you can imagine. There was no reliance on size over skill level. That was 6 deep.

How the Lavvy system worked was the speed of the team on all four lines and the blue line. That is what the "system" requires. Not "BIG" physical players. Not "bangers"...speed...lots and lots of speed.

Now, consider how that team was made, consider how this team is made...

any questions.

yep. lavy actually makes a point of not being physical. remember when he first started and he said he didn't want anyone to fight because that's a pointless 5 minutes in the box?

Well they out hit the devs last night and probably deserved better than a so victory. We need to face the facts that the D isn't very good. Injuries have hurt them badly especially in that position. At the same time could a defensive coach help that group? Probably look at Les Habs they are better this year. Something to ponder anyway. Ah well F it I'm going riding today!
