61 is Robinson Chirinos' uniform number. He wore number 38 when he played in 20 games for TBR back in 2011. I for one don't think your starter at any position ought to be wearing a minor league uniform number now that they are playing daily for TEX.
Based on someone you know from the past who Chirinos reminds you of ... at any position ... and if the number is available ... what number would you like to see him wearing?
Here are my recommendations:
13 John Roseboro -- uniform number with Washington Senators in 1970 (he wore 8 and 44 for Brooklyn and LA Dodgers)
14 Gil Hodges -- my favorite player growing up
Totally meaningless thread ... but am bored.
