It has been a damn long time since we have been in the post season: 1989 as the LA Rams; 2004 as the St Louis Rams. Man it feels damn good! I hope McVay's strategy of resting many starters against the Niners pays dividends.

If we come out rusty, that strategy may backfire and then we are in for a tough day with the potential to win the game by being at home or so everyone hopes. I'll be there Saturday night to watch McVay's team bring it to take another step in the growth and development of a potential perennial powerhouse Rams!!!

The rest discussion is overblown every year IMO.

The top 2 seeds in every conference is forced to take a rest week with byes the first week of the playoffs. That hasn't stopped the Pats from winning 5 SB's in that time ( with some help of course ).

If a team plays flat, it's because they didn't prepare enough or the game plan was ineffective. It's not because they are rusty. A well rested player should play better than one that is banged up and played the previous week.

And, sometimes you have to tip your cap to the opponent foe having the right game plan as well.

With McVay, this team will be prepared, no question.

He has made some mistakes with some game plans this season, so we will see what he comes up with for the Falcons. That will be the story. Not about the rest.

Saturday night game! It will feel like 8:15 pm to the Falcons at kick off. If this were still a Fisher team I would be worried about whether the rested Rams will be rusty but not a McVay team. They will be ready!

GO RAMS!!!

My concern is Devonte Freeman. If Atlanta doesn't forget about him in the 2nd half of the super bowl last year, they the champs.

And yes he's got Seminole blood in him. Which also scares me

Really young team. Really young coach. And the old Wade

I expect inexperience and some huge plays. Just have to limit the turnovers and play some D.

Speaking of Wade, how long is he going to keep coaching?

Awe well, my Saturday was already set up, I was hoping for a Sunday game.

I'll probably make this game thread though because I wont need to set aside 6-7 hours for that. LOL

Sanu then Jones, The secondary better be ready to play
:agree: Except it's not my 'only' concern...

Gotta a lot of respect for Quinn and company, and while they didn't have a lights out year like last year Red, they did win 5 of 6, only losing to the Saints on the road, to close out the season to make the wild card spot.

Well you wouldn't be worried Bunc, because if this was a Fisher team they would be at home watching some other team playing???

I think McVay and Phillips will get the secondary so amped that they will handle any big receiver the Falcons trot out on the field.

Yeah, I'm concerned with the run.

When Freeman has gone over 75 yards in a game this year, the Falcons are undefeated. :2cents:

Stop the run first, make it tough on 3rd and longs all day and make 'em one dimensional so or defensive fronts can pin their ears back and melt Matty Ice to a puddle.
