I think a lot of people could be favorably surprised by JC this year. I don't think we've seen his best yet. Of course a lot depends on how the freshmen turn out too.

I'm expecting good things from Coleman. He's healthy now. Poor guy sprained both ankles last preseason on the same play i believe. Just couldnt get right from there. But like Cam said, it's all about the OL.

Who redshirted this year? I must have missed the announcement.

We know who played (see the game thread) and you have to assume they'll probably redshirt the rest.

I guess the young guys will be getting some quality reps over the next month. At least it isn't an ACL.

I think its noble that he played thru it but I wish guys wouldn't feel the need to do so.

Kennedy Estelle, OT booted from Texas Longhorns team. Former Stacy Searels recruit. Any chance VT reaches out to him? Not sure if he will have 1 or 2 years of eligibility left.

We need OL guys but should we chase guys who were just kicked off a team? I know Strong is laying down the hammer down there but which team rule was broken that he was booted?

^^^This would suck. But I would rather do this, give Riley and Clark the reps if Facyson is not going to be healthy the majority of the year.

I think he's been dealing with a hip flexor too

Facyson had surgery before the spring to repair a stress fracture in his shin. I would guess that is probably a complication from his surgery and overcompensating.

Any kind of hip stiffness/pain is not easy to deal with as a CB.

I dont know why they even discuss a redshirt. Maddy is a nimble, smart, productive DT who will have his Masters by the end of the winter. He just found out how quick an injury can happen. He should NOT stick around and if the coaches push him TO stick around (and I don't think they will) they are doing him a disservice. The NFL prizes DL right below QBs right now. Go get paid young man.

If he winds up out for the rest of the season they'll be filing for his medical red-shirt regardless of whether he's coming back, just in case.

And help me out here, when did he get his undergrad degree?
