Sources: Wizards to sign D-League shooter Jarell Eddie

Could be a great fit if he can keep his shot falling at the NBA level. The Wiz desperately need outside shooting. I'm pleasantly surprised Eddie has made it to the NBA. We all saw flashes of his talent but imo, he never was consistent enough to ever consider him being there. He's really put in work in the D-League and improved dramatically. I watched his Summer League and Preseason games with Golden State and he's soooo much better now

Two transfers to report; both Satchel Pierce and Jalen Hudson are leaving.

Not that big of a shock with either. Pierce never developed and still looked like the game was too fast for him and he lost playing time because of it. I understand Hudson leaving since it was going to be hard getting playing time with all our players and Hill coming back. Still would have been nice to have him for depth. He was inconsistent but he'd would always attack and get the offense moving along.

Losing Hudson kind of sucks because he would dominate from time to time. Loosing Pierce sucks for big man depth but he didn't really contribute much elsewise.

Good news and bad news.

First, the bad. Issac Chew is leaving to take an assistant's job at Texas A&M. That stings a bit but I honestly expected him to get a HC job at a smaller school this year anyway so I had prepared myself for him leaving. Still, it sucks to lose a pretty solid recruiter.

The good news? Devin Wilson made the football team as a wideout! Good for him.

LeDay's young brother, Seth, is joining the team. He's a JUCO transfer

I saw a reddit thread yesterday with a tittle "Zach LeDay's brother is transferring from JuCo to play Buzzketball!" I freaked out for second because I read Zach LeDay is transferring. I felt kind of silly after rereading the title.

Season got underway tonight with a win against Maine. Didn't watch but reads like Hill had a nice game after missing all last year with an injury. Next game is Tuesday vs High Point. Should be a nice season. NCAA tournament is a possibility.

Two comfortable wins over High Point and VMI. We've started the season off shooting really well from deep. Hopefully that's a sign of good things to come. Next up is New Mexico on Thanksgiving. Game will be on ESPN at 4:30pmEST

Nice win against Nebraska after the let down vs. Texas A&M.

Not too worried about the Texas A&M loss. They were just too big for us down low.

It was a good showing overall. Probably should have won that aTm game though. We sort of went away from what got us a double digit lead. But its not a bad loss considering the Aggies have a good shot at making the tourney and being a top SEC team. Maybe we can make up for it by beating Michigan on Wednesday. Could be tough considering all the travel we've had to do

Big win over Michigan tonight. Nothing was going our way for most of the game but the guys somehow found a way to pull it off.

The win was awesome. I was still watching but I admit I had given up on them when they went down 15 early.

The game also had this:

Clarke recorded the first triple double in program history today in a win over The Citadel. It was a weird game where we struggled badly in the 1st half (losing at halftime) and then completely blew the doors off of them in the 2nd.

What an amazing week for hokie sports! Coming back down 24 points to win vs Arkansas and blowing the doors off Duke in basketball. They couldn't stop our guards from getting in the paint. We did a good job rebounding the ball despite the size mismatch. We actually got Duke to play small for a while.
