You kinda said it yourself....

First round Fox were basically following only one group, and praised Tiger till the end...even though he finished 8 over.

The general commentary was amateurish., listening to Azinger or Faxon try to dumb it down to the common masses....althought they had to stop and repeat their babbles so in their minds....everyone understood....

....but....Tiger was solid! Except for holes 3,4, 6, 11, 14, 16, 17.......

Understood...they more or less did the same for both featured groups. Rory battled mightily and made a big run late and we kinda saw every shot. Except Tiger never made a run.

The only telecasts I've seen that show a wide breathe of play when TW is in the field is the Euro tour....balanced coverage if nothing else.

I only watched the featured groups online yesterday. Tiger's & Rory.

I advised all to listen to Mark Brooks for an entire round. He won the PGA Championship in 96.
What a breath of fresh air this guy is and he has one of the best golf IQ's I have seen in a commentator.

What I really love is he has no problem challenging his partners in the booth on anything they say.

I'm thinking that things will get interesting today or tomorrow.
DJ can't play this flawless golf at this place 4 straight days. I think there is a 6 over in his bag.

But he will still win unless somebody else shows they really want it.

I've never seen as many putts left short at a US Open as I've seen in the first 2+ days of this one. After 2 days I'd think they'd realize they don't have to worry about running it well past in most cases.

Wow. Phil Mickelson having a meltdown. Just badly missed a putt and went and hit it again before it was even stopped

Phil just lost it. He just snapped, putting his ball before it had stopped moving as it rolled past the hole and downhill. Wow. He should just withdraw at this point. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about it. Very uncharacteristic for him.

Yeah, just saw that. What's the penalty for that?

2 strokes is what they said on tv on top of what he shot. Who knows how far that would’ve rolled too. I think would give him a 10 on the hole. He should be embarrassed for it.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was like something John Daly might do when he's hungover and having a bad day.

Yeah, I'm watching it on my computer with no sound. That + signing an incorrect scorecard if he doesn't own up to it.

Man, if DJ wasn't such a head case for so long he'd have like 5 majors at this point. He's one of the most naturally talented golfers I've ever seen.

If Phil wasn't such the fan favourite, I wonder what the general reaction would be. It'll be interesting to hear his post round comments.

seems like a few of the top golfers weren't mentally in the tournament...and that was the cherry on top.

I just sat down and caught that clip...I've never seen a pro do anything like that before.
