Training camp opens Thursday

Roster revealed for Blackhawks training camp, which opens Thuursday at Notre Dame University.

Supposedly only 2-3 forward spots are up for grabs. Barring trades or injuries all the other spots are locked up.

Interesting stat I read today:

Since the Blackhawks traded for Johnny Oduya, the Hawks have a record of 49-9-9.

Pretty impressive.

ESPN ranked Teravainen 21st, Pirri 47th and gave an Honorable Mention to Clendening in their list of the top 100 prospects.

And all 3 will be playing in chicago on a regular basis by the end of next year IMO

End of 2014...I can see that.

End of this season? I don't see it.

Pirri makes the team this year, no doubt. Clendening makes the team this year if the Hawks decide to trade Brookbank or an injury occurs to a top 6 dman.

Teravainen might make the team by the end of the year in 2014. But he won't be on the Hawks this year. He's 18 years old, he's committed to playing another year in Finland, and if he plays more than 10 games with the Hawks his entry level contract counts as year one. Stan B won't let that happen.
