he didn't play in their 1st preseason game, they sat a lot of people that were expected to be contributors this coming year. focusing more on giving the bubble players and long shots more tape so they can be evaluated. here's a very recent article:

No one really starts for the Pats at RB. It's the reason you don't think about drafting one until the 8th round in fantasy.

Yeah, Blount was the only guy who was super consistent. Pats love guys who can catch out of the backfield, but he's a great goal line back so we'll see. I would for sure take him late.

Staying on the Pats... Always thought he would fit perfect there. He's not Kelvin Benjamin or Mike Evans where he would fit anywhere.

I know it's Preseason and all but Brandon Reilly just scored TD for Bills in preseason game

rexy got a TD from Brady this weekend. i didn't watch much, but had turned it on the very drive where he got the TD. reviewing stat line, not sure if he started, but was the first guy getting a hand off. he only got 20 yds rushing on 7 carries, but Brady threw to him 3 times and he caught them all for 50 yds, including the TD of 22.

Niles had a TD too, it was his only target. i didn't see any of that, not sure where he falls on the Wash depth chart.
